The television character Jimmy McNulty was an example of doing what is needed even when it is tough.
Take a moment and think of the co-worker or boss you dislike. More than likely certain character traits come into your mind. Words like obsessed. Obnoxious. Unrelenting. Narcissist. God complex.
Nine times out of ten this is a fair assumption of the mechanisms that guide their actions and an accurate portrayal of whom they believe they are. But there’s just one thing we are forgetting: For all their flaws, this is more than likely the person we most need when we look for productivity.
The person whose mere presence helps move the needles and brings out the best in us. Every job needs a McNulty.
