I agree with you. I hate that owning our culture and being nationalistic about it is viewed as negative when we live in a country that constantly reminds us of our minority status. I am a big fan of Malcolm and Garvey and I see their importance. I do however realize that people have been negatively conditioned to view our own blackness.
