Hey you. Yeah, you. I work in education and I’m coming for your job. I see your nice corporate job with benefits and upward mobility in pay and I want it.

Before you laugh at my paltry salary and make fun of the rigor in my profession, hear me out: I have three reasons why people like me are a viable threat and how you can adopt more of what we have to help insulate your job. Thank me later.

I’ve Faced The Greatest Fear of All Time

No not layoffs, no not corporate deadlines, I have faced most people’s greatest fear head-on and that’s public speaking.

Not only am I adept in speaking to crowds which I do daily, but I also make presentations not only just to students, but to adults whose partnership we need to keep our company going.

My coworker’s presentation to the local community consisted of groups such as the Chamber of Commerce and a state representative. She presented in front of them all, doing the necessary “code-switching” that was needed to reach them all.

Another good friend of mine delivered a speech for the National Honor Society and got rave reviews for his ability to blend…
